Do You REALLY Wanna Know?
Who hasn't wanted to have an interrogation like this to their sister's new boyfriend?
Man, I've been wanting to write this confrontation for a long time and this was the perfect place to put this in.
Some of you guys have expressed concerns about what you called, "The Dragon Mafia" (I call them the Elf mafia on social media accounts because it's funnier)- what are their goals? Are they good guys or bad guys? Why did Matthias have to clean up that coffee mess even though Briallen was the one who caused it in the first place? Well... something that's easy to forget is Matthias is technically from enemy territory. Scaring him away wasn't working, so Briallen is trying a more direct approach.
It was also fun to play on the "You don't know me" trope. I've heard it used in situations where the protagonist uses his tragic backstory as an excuse for being a jerk, the person they're talking to is all "oh, dear, you're right! I DON'T know anything about you!" Not Briallen though. Though, she IS accusing him of having bad intentions.
Man! There's something else I want to say, but that's a bit of a spoiler, and that's going to have to wait!
