Should You Need a Friend…

She May a Bitch, but I Still Love Her!

Okay! I feel like I'm at a point with Minerva where I can talk about her for a bit without giving too much away. I think I've said in the past that Minerva is one of my personal favorite characters. She is my exploration into the saying "We judge others by our actions, but ourselves by our intentions." She's a lot of fun to write because she's such a broken character who spent the last century trying to redeem herself from her past. The first person to love and believe in her is long dead and she doesn't want to lose the people she does have. Another thing I didn't really intend, but it kind of came out that way organically is not only doesn't she want to lose her daughters, but she doesn't want them to go down the same path she did.

Why doesn't she just talk to her daughters, and by extension, us, of why she's seemingly going crazy? Well, I'll just say there's a reason The Swan Brothers has been alluded to in the story twice now.

  1. Fracking heck, that little exchange between her and Sister Maggie made me cry! That was lovely.
